Initial Design Concepts

The damper system should have the ability to translate the vibration, caused from the movement of the piston in the vertical direction, to the horizontal direction.  This will allow the design the ability to be mounted to the fuselage and still provide a source for dampening.

This design utilizes a swing arm that is mounted to the motor as well as the body of the airplane.  Its pivoting point is located at the 90° bend, also mounted on the airplane body.  With this arm connected directly to the motor the vibration can be reduced when a damper is implemented on the body mounted side of the swing arm.
